The Institute has put together perhaps its strongest ever lineup of Summit on Measurement (http://www.instituteforpr.org/education/summit_measure/) speakers this year. The keynote session on Thursday, October 16 will be led by Leslie Tiongco, Senior Manager, Systems Communication, McDonald's. This engaging presenter will explain how McDonald's is conducting qualitative measurement and applying the research results to internal communications strategy execution.
Other presenters include: Toni Griffin of MetLife and Robert Fronk of Harris Interactive talking about MetLife's recent corporate reputation benchmarking measures and David Slatter leading a discussion about recent attempts to measure customer loyalty on a global basis at Texas Instruments.
Kye Strance of Vocus will be part of a panel discussing how corporate and organizational clients can work more effectively with public relations agencies and communications research providers on measurement and evaluation projects. He'll be joined by Frank Walton of RF|Binder Partners, Lou Williams of L.C. Williams & Associates, and Seth Williams of National City Corporation.
Other presenters include Jim Fretig of Georgia Tech explaining about formative and benchmarking research on the use of Facebook, YouTube and other new technology web sites plus Mazen Hawahi of Media Watch Middle East discussing journalistic integrity in measurement.
The Summit's always popular Pre-Conference Workshops return again this year with a full-day planned for Wednesday, October 15. Offerings include Measurement 101 for novices, Measurement 201 for those with intermediate knowledge and, for the first time this year, an advanced workshop Measurement 301. There also will be seven afternoon break-out mini-workshop sessions.
This event, that is directed by Dr. Don Wright, professor of public relations at Boston University, also features several popular networking events.
